On 11.3.2021, the Faculty of Law at the University of Haifa hosted the Drones and Robots in Combat event. The event was devoted to examining the integration of drones and robotic systems into modern warfare.

The forum brought together experts from law, technology, and defense to discuss technical advancements, operational uses, and ethical and legal implications arising from the deployment of autonomous weapons and surveillance platforms in military contexts. Speakers address subjects such as the regulatory challenges, risks, and responsibilities in using unmanned systems, and the shifting balance between human decision-making and machine-led operations. The event aims to foster interdisciplinary dialogue around the future of autonomous technologies in combat, focusing on both practical applications and the broader societal impact.​
