Prof. Sacha Bourgeois-Gironde

Sacha Bourgeois-Gironde is Professor of Law and Economics at Université Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas (Sorbonne Universités) and Professor of Law at the University of Haifa Faculty of Law. His research lies at the intersection of legal theory, economics, and environmental governance, with a particular focus on the representation of non-human interests, the rights of nature, and the institutional implications of artificial intelligence for law and public decision-making. He is the author of several books and numerous articles in leading journals across the fields of law, economics, and philosophy. His recent work explores AI-based legal representation, environmental legal personhood, and the design of constitutionally constrained institutional architectures for governing global commons, as well as the relationship between Intellectual Property and the Environmental Crisis (in collaboration with Prof. Daniel Benoliel). He has held visiting positions and research affiliations at institutions in Europe, North America (Columbia University), and Asia (Taipei), and regularly collaborates on interdisciplinary projects involving law, ecology, and artificial intelligence.
